What is BeeReady?
BeeReady is a beekeeping app for iPhone. It combines apiary weather, digital hive records with QR and NFC access, guided inspections, bookkeeping, calculators and a nectar-flow calendar in one workflow.
Can I use BeeReady for free?
Yes. BeeReady Free supports up to three active colonies, apiary weather and decision support, up to five reminders and one photo per inspection. BeeReady Pro costs €3.99 per month or €34.99 per year.
Do I need an account for BeeReady?
No. BeeReady has no sign-up and no login. Download it and start. Colonies, inspections and receipts stay on your iPhone and sync through your own iCloud – not through anyone else's servers. One exception: if you use voice inspections, the recording is sent for transcription and is not stored afterwards.
Is BeeReady available for Android?
BeeReady is currently available for iPhone with iOS 16 or later. An Android version is not planned at this time.
How does voice-assisted inspection work?
You speak your observations during an inspection. BeeReady suggests matching fields for details such as occupied seams, queen signs, eggs, brood pattern and food stores. You review every suggestion before anything is saved.
How does BeeReady handle my data?
Hive records are stored locally on your device by default. Locations are resolved through Nominatim and OpenStreetMap, while weather data is provided through the BeeReady weather service using OpenWeather. BeeReady does not use tracking.
How does apiary weather support inspection planning?
BeeReady assesses temperature, wind, cloud cover and precipitation in hourly windows and combines this with the current flowering phase and your latest inspection.
Which hive systems does BeeReady support?
The digital hive record supports common systems including Zander, German Normal and Langstroth, with boxes, frames, queen details and status history.
How do QR codes and NFC tags work in BeeReady?
You can share or print a QR code and write an NFC tag for each colony. Scanning or tapping it opens the matching hive record on devices where the colony is available or synchronised through iCloud.
