2. Scope
These terms apply to the BeeReady iOS app and paid Pro features offered as an in-app subscription. Mandatory statutory provisions, including local consumer-protection rules and rules for digital products, remain unaffected.
3. Service
3.1 Free version
The free version allows you to manage up to three active bee colonies. Additional core functions for documentation, weather information and colony management are available as described in the current app version.
3.2 BeeReady Pro
BeeReady Pro removes limits and unlocks additional functions. These may include managing more colonies, bookkeeping and analytics, extended weather and planning tools, exports, additional photos and QR/NFC access to colonies. The current feature set is shown in the app and on the App Store product page.
Depending on availability, BeeReady Pro may be offered as a monthly or annual subscription. An introductory free trial may be available to eligible users. The price, currency, billing period and trial terms displayed by Apple at the time of purchase apply.
4. Purchase and payment
Pro subscriptions are purchased exclusively through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple handles the transaction and payment. Apple's App Store terms, subscription rules and the applicable end-user licence terms also apply.
5. Term, renewal and cancellation
A subscription runs for the billing period selected at purchase and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it through your Apple account or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
6. After a subscription ends
Data, apiaries, colonies and records you have already created remain stored after Pro expires. Pro-only functions and increased limits are unavailable until there is another valid Pro entitlement. BeeReady may restrict editing of content above the free limit while preserving read access to existing records.
7. Statutory rights and updates
Consumers retain all mandatory statutory rights concerning defective digital products and services. Where legally required, updates necessary to maintain conformity and security will be provided.
8. Changes to the app
BeeReady may be updated and improved. Changes that materially affect paid functionality will be made in accordance with applicable consumer-protection requirements.
9. Availability
We aim to keep BeeReady available and reliable, but uninterrupted use cannot be guaranteed. Some functions depend on third-party services including Apple, OpenWeather, Nominatim and internet connectivity.
10. Beekeeping, weather and treatment information
BeeReady supports beekeeping decisions but does not replace your professional assessment at the apiary. Weather data, forecasts, treatment-weather assessments, calculations and recommendations are provided for orientation only and do not guarantee the success of a specific action, treatment or harvest.
Always follow product authorisations, package instructions, regional regulations and required protective measures when using veterinary medicinal products or acids. Check the colony, brood status, honey supers and actual local weather before acting.
11. Liability
We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence involving an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability for slight negligence is otherwise excluded to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
12. Withdrawal and refunds
Any mandatory right of withdrawal under applicable consumer law remains unaffected. Apple handles payment processing and refund requests. Refunds may be requested through Apple's processes, including reportaproblem.apple.com.
13. Privacy
Information about processing personal data is available in the Privacy Policy.
14. Consumer dispute resolution
Under Section 36 of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (VSBG), we are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
15. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of the country in which you habitually reside.
If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
